ABOUT ME
I write adventure stories. My obsession with writing began when I was a child and continued throughout my nursing career. I have always been fascinated with history, mythology, science and technology, and you will find my adventures laced with these things. The odd time I put my medical background to use and add some interesting scientific breakthroughs to my novels or include a character with similar interests.
Ice Tomb was my first novel, originally written in 2004. It achieved bestseller status in 2013 and 2014 after I re-released it, and the novel continues to appeal to a wide audience. I tend to jump back and forth between writing for children and writing for adults since I can't decide which age group I like best. After writing an artistic type of novel in Mosaic, I have now returned to my writing roots and an Ice Tombish adventure story with a setting on Mars is in the works.
Recently I began telling stories in a different way. I have sometimes been called a "visual writer" and often project the images in my mind onto the page. So I began to do the reverse, and sought to tell stories with photography. Sometimes I fail to capture a decent shot, but other times a single image demands a deeper look. More often than not I take photos in an outdoor woodland setting on an adventure of my own.
